Ages 12 -14
Junior Youth Empowerment classes are offered to middle school students. Our junior youth program aims at enhancing the powers of expression of junior youth. It strengthens literacy skills in the young people and will help them to articulate ideas with some degree of precision and clarity.
These classes help the junior youth/pre-teen to navigate through a crucial stage in their lives when they start making decisions on their own. From a worldview cognizant of the material and spiritual dimensions of human existence, it strives to create within them the moral foundation that will underlie their decisions and guide their actions as they mature into young adults and active members of society.
These classes also teach them, through the written materials and actual service activities they plan themselves, the importance of being of service to the community.
The facilitators of these junior youth groups are called ‘animators’ and while anyone can become an animator, young adults who are close in age and in experience with the junior youth are especially encouraged to embark on this path of service to your community. This is the activity from Ruhi Book 5.
We invite your children to join ours to participate in these classes; parents and youth are also welcome to be involved.
The facilitators of the classes are screened through thorough police clearance for vulnerable persons
